Ryan Stangle
President

After working successfully in the benefits industry, Ryan saw the need to start a company that could offer more strategic benefit solutions, while providing world-class service to their clients year around.  Setting out to do just that, he founded Chesapeake Benefits, Inc. in 2005. With just one computer and not a single client, Ryan had something more important - vision.  He knew what was lacking in the benefits arena, and he stepped in to fill it. Since opening its doors, Chesapeake Benefits has seen tremendous growth.  The continued success is a result of under promising, over delivering, and always having his client’s best interests in mind.  Due to their recent growth, he has recently has moved their offices to Eastport, at the mouth of the Severn River and Back Creek, close to downtown Annapolis.

  • Played Football for UD, where he was Captain of the team, in addition to being named All-Conference, Academic All-Conference, and All-American Honorable Mention. He also won the Lt. Andy Zulli Award for showing outstanding character, sportsmanship, and leadership on and off the field.  

Besides his clientele at Chesapeake Benefits, Ryan is a committed husband and father to a beautiful baby boy.

Leslie White
Vice President

Leslie came to Chesapeake Benefits after a successful 10 year career at Paychex Inc. where she held the title of Senior Sales Representative managing an impressive 800 clients in the Annapolis area alone. Responsible for successfully setting up over 2,000 business clients for her former employer, Leslie has demonstrated the experience necessary to deliver the “customer first” service that is the benchmark of Chesapeake Benefits, Inc.  Her tenure in the industry has allowed her to build a wide network of relationships in all business areas including banking, accounting, and business law.  In addition to her broad based benefits knowledge, she has expertise in the areas of human resources, accounting, business start up procedures, and current tax rules and regulations.

Kate Noble
Benefits Consultant

Kate has strong sales and customer service experience gained as the Store Manager for Anthropologie and South Moon Under. As a Manager she was responsible for 50 employees, sales and customer service goals, and the overall success of her store. She turned her location into one of the most successful stores in the nation. At both companies, she always achieved her sales goals, and more importantly, client satisfaction. As an invaluable member at Chesapeake Benefits, Kate will put her sales, management, and customer service skills to growing the business and strengthening client satisfaction and success.

When Kate is not working hard at Chesapeake Benefits, she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and boating on the Chesapeake Bay.

Michelle Carlson
Service Account Manager

As a 5th Generation Solomons Island native, Michelle learned early the all-importance of complete customer satisfaction as she watched her parents and grandparents work in their family-owned businesses. During her school years, Michelle attended both a military academy and an all-girls boarding school teaching her personal responsibility and respect. Years later, she put her acquired knowledge to the test in various managing roles, including a tenure with the FBI as an Assistant to the Administrative Officer. With her years of collective experience, Michelle has been responsible for supporting company executives, full-charge bookkeeping, purchasing, client/vendor relations, tradeshows and more. Now, working as Chesapeake Benefits’ Service Account Manager, Michelle will put her problem-solving skills to work for our clientele with providing the highest level of Customer Service being her first priority.

In her spare time you will find Michelle boating on the Chesapeake Bay with her family. Michelle lives in Annapolis with her husband and 3 year old son.
